Kite Cruise Camp Day by Day
DAY 1 – The very first day is your arrival day: the boat is ready and available to board from midday. One of our team will be waiting for you at the airport, taking you on the short half hour drive to the Hurghada Marina. Once you’ve boarded and settled in, everyone will get introduced to the crew and familiarised with the boat. We will have our first dinner onboard, maybe a few drinks in Hurghada or on the boat, before a well deserved sleep. Tomorrow is a big day!
DAY 2 – The yacht will move as early as possible in the morning, heading to the first kite spot of the week, Abu Mungar. During this time, we start warming up and checking that all is in order with your gear. The whole day is spent kitesurfing, with the exception of breaks on the boat for lunch and dinner. We will overnight in Abu Mungar, rested and fresh to take on day 3.
DAY 3 – We’ll be moving before breakfast to one of the most renowned and iconic kitesurfing spots on the Red Sea – Tawila Island. The island offers us a beautiful crystal lagoon with a few small sand banks that pop up at low tide; an ideal place to learn or progress on your freestyle.Tawila is our destination for the full day, with an overnight stay as well.
DAY 4 – We will be spending a second day at Tawila, waking up for a sunrise session on the water before breakfast – open to everyone that is up to an early start! Brush up your skills and make the most of the island’s stunning flat water and sandy beach! The runabout zodiac and crew will be there to take you for breaks onboard. Later in the day, it’s onwards to Geisum Island, where we will sleep and be prepared for the following day.
DAY 5 – Another early start with a session at dawn, there is really nothing quite like being out on the water when the sun is rising! We will be in Geisum all day, and head North for tomorrow’s downwinder only later in the afternoon.
DAY 6 – Downwinder! It’s an easy going trip, we’ll set off as a group heading downwind from Ashrafi Island to Geisum. Enjoy the rolling waves along the way and take in the beautiful Red Sea surroundings – the trip takes around 1.5 hours. The rest of our day will be at Geisum.
DAY 7 – Or last morning on the water will be spent on Geisum again, heading back to Hurghada Marina near the end of the day. With the trip coming to an end, we will spend our last night together in the Marina. A few post-cruise drinks onboard wrap up an amazing week at sea, and if energy levels are high, we’ll head to town for some extra action off the water!
DAY 8 – The boat will close its doors at midday and our minibus will be waiting to take you to Hurghada Airport. Hope to see you on board next time!
